ASCA is a co-organizer of the seminar “mRNA technologies: opportunities and outlooks”
More than 170 people from 7 countries took part in the seminar “mRNA technologies: opportunities and outlooks”, which was held on April 28, 2025 at the Cancer Research Institute, Tomsk National Research Medical Center.
Specialists in molecular and cellular biology, bioinformatics, mRNA synthesis, and the development of delivery systems, as well as practicing physicians across various specialties from Russia, Belarus, India, Germany, China, USA, and Pakistan discussed different aspects of the use of mRNA technologies.
The reports presented at the seminar were devoted to the experience of developing mRNA vaccines, the use of mRNA technologies for the treatment of cancers, infectious, orphan and other diseases.
Evgeny Denisov, ASCA President presented a talk “Single cell sequencing: opportunities for mRNA-based therapeutics development and application”.
• Advances in mRNA development have significantly expanded the possibilities for treating various diseases. mRNA-based technologies provide a convenient and highly effective method for delivering genetic information into cells and offer several significant advantages for clinical practice. mRNA-based drugs can activate the immune response against infectious and tumor antigens and restore gene functions in cases of mutations.
• Co-organizers of the seminar: ASCA, Tomsk NRMC, Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine, ”VECTOR” State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology
