The Association for Single Cell Analysis Congress brought together over 400 participants from 15 countries
The Congress program covered a wide range of areas: oncology, hematology, neurobiology, immunology, bioinformatics, regenerative and translational biology, microbiology, and virology.
More than 400 researchers from universities and leading research centers took part in the Congress, including representatives from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Japan, Thailand, Italy, India, Sweden, the USA, the UK, and other countries. Wet lab researchers, bioinformaticians, and technology developers in the field of single-cell analysis and spatial biology discussed the most advanced approaches in these areas.

The Congress results were summarized by Evgeny Denisov, PhD, DSc, RAS Professor, Deputy Scientific Director at the Cancer Research Institute of Tomsk NRMC, and Head of the Single Cell Biology Laboratory at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Medicine of RUDN University. He emphasized that the Congress history began in 2019 in Tomsk, when several young researchers first gathered at a workshop dedicated to single-cell sequencing. "Seven years later, this initiative has transformed into a big event, which in 2026 we held for the first time as an international congress. Today, the Association for Single Cell Analysis has already united more than 700 people from 50 countries. I am confident that together we will be able to get deep in the biology of cellular processes in normal and pathological conditions and develop new approaches for effective treating different diseases," concluded Evgeny Denisov.
