ASCA is a Partner of the Single Сell Grant Program at the RUDN University

During three years, the Research Institute of Molecular and Cellular Medicine of the RUDN University Medical Institute organizes a program for the support of projects that use single cell technologies.

  • The program is financially supported by the Research Institute of Molecular and Cellular Medicine Administration.
Dr. Timur Fatkhudinov, Director of the Research Institute of Molecular and Cellular Medicine, RUDN University:

- This program provides the Institute's laboratories with access to cutting-edge technologies, enabling researchers to leverage state-of-the-art tools and methodologies for their individual and collaborative projects. By integrating these advanced resources, the program fosters innovation, enhances research capabilities, and supports the development of groundbreaking solutions across various fields of study.

Head of Single Cell Biology Laboratory (Research Institute of Molecular and Cellular Medicine, RUDN University), ASCA President Evgeny Denisov:

-   For three years, 22 applications have been received, 13 of which were supported. This year, the winning projects focus on the investigation of pediatric B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas, early-onset colorectal cancer, and Gorham-Stout Disease and are provided with a free opportunity to perform single cell transcriptomics including bioinformatics.

Project proposals are reviewed by ASCA members, leading specialists in single cell analysis and bioinformatics. This year reviewers are: Pyotr Tyurin-Kuzmin (Lomonosov Moscow State University), Marat Sabirov (Koltzov Institute of Developmental Biology), Julia Medvedeva (Research Center of Biotechnology RAS), Kadriia Enikeeva (Bashkir State Medical University), and Konstantin Okonechnikov (German Cancer Research Center).

ASCA is grateful to all reviewers for their time, effort and valuable feedback.
